Monique Carr grew up in Montreal, Canada. She moved to East Tennessee in 1999 by way of the Cayman Islands, where she met her husband, Johnson City native Hank Carr. She has two children, Thomas and Marilou. After retiring as a graphic designer, she took her painting from a hobby to a full time pursuit. She has been fortunate to have taken workshops and classes from many respected artists such as Betty Carr. Bennette Rowen, Michele Warner, Tom & Peggy Root and Gifford Nicolaides. Monique is also a member of the OIL PAINTERS of AMERICA.
“I am continuously inspired by the people & the beauty that surrounds me. I’m loving the journey; this is a blessing, and I thank God who has given me the time to learn and the ability to create these paintings. I hope you'll enjoy them.”
Monique is expanding her love of painting to offer portraits of your beloved one. Whether a formal or casual pose is the way you envision your portrait, it will soon become a much loved piece of art in your home.
